Crafts on the Quay, Aberaeron, Ceredigion
home; inside the shop; location map
Opened on the 1st April 2006, Crafts on the Quay has been formed as a co-operative by local craftmakers in order to exhibit and sell their work directly.
In addition Crafts on the Quay also aims to promote the wealth of artistic talent found not only locally, but thoughout Wales.
Situated in the old Aquarium building on the harbourside in Aberaeron, Crafts on the Quay is a showcase for it's three founding members - Karen Cocksedge (Quilter), Robert Parkinson (Candlemaker) and Roy Phillips (Lovespoon Carver).
Many other Welsh design/makers (most of whom live and work in the area) also have an opportunity to present and promote their work to both the local people and many tourists who visit Aberaeron during the year.
It is also anticipated that members will be demonstrating their skills on a regular basis within the shop.
Open seven days a week, Crafts on the Quay will only display and sell items handcrafted in Wales and we hope to provide an ever changing range of goods.
We aim to provide unusual and unique gifts at affordable prices thereby ensuring gifts for any occasion.
Ultimately it is hoped the Crafts on the Quay will not only benefit participating craftmakers, but will also give a boost to the local economy by bringing more visitors to Aberaeron.
Additionally Crafts on the Quay's website will enable sales to be made both Nationally and Internationally.
